Here is an extremely hot prosthesis from the 2012 Paralympics. I really don’t know what else to say because this photo speaks volumes to me.
Oh, unfortunately our coverage of the Paralympics was cut a bit short due to an unfortunate, very left field, medical situation. And my coverage of the America’s Cup World Series was non existent because I got hung up at work. So my first foray into caring about sports totally fizzled, but I’m so proud that Zoe was able to bring us a little closer to the Paralympics & the athletes who make it happen. Every athlete inspires me the same way every musician, writer, designer, artist, etc does: it makes me want to do my best & try my best, even if I’m in a crappy mood or everything hurts. Or both. ;)
This is not a prosthesis. What you are looking at is a boot. It is the pattern of boot worn by the Blues and Royals, members of the British armed forces who are fully trained armoured troops, yet also provide mounted ceremonial troops.
